PRE-READING SKILLS
1. Print motivationPrinted motivation is the child's interest in the book and reading. It's important for kids to read books on topics they like so they can get their attention so they can participate in reading.
For example, if the child likes animals, he would read a book about them
2.Print Awerness
Understanding that print on a page represents words that are spoken, knowing how to follow words on a page, and knowing how to hold a book.
For example: this activity consists of the boy recognizing the letters written in the book, turning the pages, that is, that they manipulate and discover.
The language phonological function is a metaentic capacity, which allows the child to analyze the sound structure of the sound. Phonological awareness allows to attend, discriminate, remember and manipulate sound.
For example in this activity we have to find the pairs that rhyme:
Narrative skills consist of a series of skills, which allow children, adolescents and adults to tell stories with a structure based on the introduction, where the characters are presented, the knot where other events begin and finally, the outcome or final, where the conflict is resolved. It is a process that involves cognitive, social and expressive functions of language. For example, we could tell a story. The story is "Erme" that talks about inclusion and children must identify the beginning, knot and outcome of the story.
5. LETTER KNOWLEDGE
In this activity they must recognize the letters with their identifying sound, so the boy or girl must take the letter they touch from the container and identify it in order to order the alphabet.
